Longevity Meal Experimental Program
A five-year journey that proved how the right meals, social connection, and healing environment can transform lives and add years of health and happiness.
A Simple but Heartfelt Experiment
Back in 2010, I carried out a small but heartfelt experiment in Zili Village, Taoyuan City. The idea was simple: could the right meals and a healthy environment help people live better, longer lives?
Ten elderly neighbors, averaging about 80 years old, joined me. Every day for five years, I personally prepared three Mediterranean-style meals for them — a diet recommended by health experts for its proven benefits.
Many of them were struggling with serious health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and muscle weakness. I kept daily notes on their conditions and encouraged them to join in something fun every afternoon: karaoke.
"Singing together brought laughter, conversations, and a sense of belonging — a powerful medicine in itself."
